About Elephunk Market
The Roots
When I was fifteen in grade nine in high school I started my own international importing business with the purpose of sponsoring a little girl to go to school in Kenya, Africa as well as buy myself a manual blue Jeep I had fallen in love with. Six years later I import goods out of four countries to sell and sponsor the education of the same little girl in Africa. The Jeep serves as a good product transportation asset. Two years ago we raised money to hand deliver school supplies to my little girl's school for her and all her classmates. Meeting the people we are supporting in person and seeing the small difference my business can make by supporting a charity in Africa has been a massive encouragement to grow my business. I am continuing to sell products in some stores and at markets as well as search for new products while travelling. The logo is the word "elephant" in Thai drawn to look like the animal since the first product I started the business after were funky Thai pants with elephants on them, hence Elephunk Market.
